Our founders
François Doucet, Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc., LSO, Chemist
CEOFrançois R. Doucet holds a Ph.D. and a master’s degree in analytical chemistry from the Université de Montréal and has 26 years of expertise in LIBS. He is a subject-matter expert in atomic emission, laser ablation, spectroscopy, chemometrics, nuclear forensics and process chemistry, and the co-author of several active patents. He is also an avid skier, mountain biker and hockey player. François has analyzed countless materials with LIBS. Ask him about your analytical challenges; you might be surprised by the answers!
Lütfü Çelebi Özcan, Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Eng.
Co-CEO, CTOLütfü Çelebi Özcan earned his Ph.D. in engineering physics from École Polytechnique de Montréal in 2007. With an academic background in mathematics and engineering physics, his expertise spans a wide range of fields, including electronics, optics/optoelectronics, telecommunications, computing and green technologies. He has 20 years of experience in prototyping, automation and optical system design. Lütfü uses tailored approaches to develop innovative strategies that address stakeholders’ specific needs, boosting the value and return on investment in R&D. He is the co-inventor of several active patents. In his free time, he plays soccer and is a devoted Olympique Lyonnais fan.
